Restaurant SEO / for owners and small groups

Restaurant SEO that puts you on the map when people are hungry

When someone nearby types "tacos near me" or "brunch open now", Google picks three places to show first. We work on what decides it: your Business Profile, menu pages Google can read, your listings and reviews, and links to your site. From $125 a month, month to month.

Case result: an online produce delivery service grew organic traffic 50x on our Platinum package. Not a restaurant; food ordered online.

The short answer

What restaurant SEO covers

Restaurant SEO is the work that makes your place show up when people nearby search for food you serve, and makes them choose you once they see you. For most restaurants that means the Google Map Pack (the three places with a map above the regular results), your own website's pages for menus, ordering and events, and the listings and reviews Google reads to decide who is worth showing.

It is different from social media, which reaches people who already follow you, and from ads, which stop when you stop paying. Search catches people at the moment they decide where to eat.

See what each package covers
  • 01 / Maps

    Google Maps and "near me"

The Map Pack decides most first visits. Our local SEO for restaurants covers the Business Profile, categories, photos, listings and the signals that lift you for "near me" searches.

  • 02 / Orders

    Orders through your own site

The apps are good at finding new guests and expensive for regulars. Online ordering SEO makes your own ordering page the one Google shows for your name.

  • 03 / Menus

    Menus as pages, not PDFs

Google can't read a photo of your menu. Dish names as text help you show up for "birria tacos" or "gluten free pizza". Our restaurant website design work builds menus that way.

  • 04 / Reviews

    Reviews and replies

Count, rating and recent replies all show next to your name. Every package includes review-generation work; reputation management goes further when you need it.

Where diners decide

Three places get the click. Google says how it picks them

Google's own help pages name three factors for local results: relevance (does your profile and site match what was searched), distance (how far you are from the person searching) and prominence (how well known you are, from reviews, links and mentions around the web).

You can't move your dining room closer to the searcher. You can make relevance and prominence work for you:

  • Relevance: the right primary category, cuisine and dish words on your menu pages, attributes like outdoor seating or vegan options set on the profile.
  • Prominence: a steady flow of genuine reviews with replies, the same name, address and hours on every listing, and links from other sites to yours.
  • The click itself: photos of real dishes, hours that are right tonight, and order and reserve buttons that work.

Real results / plainly labeled

We haven't published a restaurant case study yet

So we won't pretend. These are the closest real results the team has published: food ordered online, a local business that reached the top of the Map Pack, and a company that won with a page for every city it serves. The search mechanics are the same ones a restaurant needs.

Revenue up almost 65% by month four

"I signed up for the Golden SEO package for one of my eCommerce stores. The process was easy, and they delivered exactly what was listed in the package. What I didn't expect was how much extra guidance they gave me: advice on my product descriptions, blog topic suggestions, even recommendations on internal linking. Rankings started moving up in the second month, and by month four my revenue had increased by almost 65% compared to before. One authority link stopped loading a month later; when I brought it up, they replaced it with a fresh one the same day."
Ashton, eCommerce store owner

Reports he could understand, answers within a day

"I have worked with different SEO providers for a decade, and I never thought I would find one that lived up to the promises. I got detailed reports that I could actually understand, not random jargon. Every time I had a question, I got an answer within a day. The results did not come overnight, but when they did, they were exactly as predicted: steady keyword growth, higher rankings and, most importantly, more calls from customers."
Adam Moller

No overselling, results on schedule

"I was not sure about paying for SEO again because I had been burned before by so-called SEO gurus. These guys were different. They did not oversell, they gave me realistic expectations, and the results came right when they said they would."

How the work runs

From audit to monthly report, in four tickets

No onboarding fee, no long contract. The work starts with a written audit and runs month to month after that.

  1. Order in01

You send your website and email. We check your Business Profile, menu pages, ordering links, listings and reviews against the places that show up above you, and send the findings in writing.

  2. Fire02

We agree on the searches that bring you covers and orders: cuisine, dish, neighborhood, "near me", catering. Profile and listing fixes go first because they move fastest.

  3. On the pass03

    Links placed, pages tuned

Guest posts, Web 2.0 pages and amplification links go out for the month, and we point out what to change on your menu and location pages.

Apps vs your own site

The delivery apps find you new guests. Your regulars don't need a middleman

When a regular searches your name and lands on an app listing, you pay the app for an order you already had. We work on the searches for your own name, the order link on your Business Profile and the ordering page on your site, so the people who already know you order direct.

How much that is worth depends on your plan's commission and your order volume, so we built a calculator that uses your numbers instead of ours.

Stapled paper takeout bags lined up on a wooden pickup counter

Who it's for

Independents and small groups, from a food truck to ten dining rooms

Full-service restaurants that want weeknight covers, fast casual and pizzerias that live on pickup and delivery, cafes and bakeries chasing the morning search, bars with events and tap lists, caterers and food trucks whose customers search days ahead.

If you run several locations, each one gets its own Business Profile work and its own location page, so they don't compete with each other. The restaurant marketing agency page explains how search fits next to social, email and the apps, and the restaurant advertising page compares paid options with SEO honestly.

FAQ

Restaurant SEO questions, answered straight

Something else? Ask the assistant at the bottom of the screen, or reserve a call.

How much does restaurant SEO cost?

Our packages run from $125 a month (Silver) to $575 a month (Titanium), or $140 to $620 as a one-time purchase. Every package includes Google Business Profile work, citation cleanup and review-generation work. Agencies that quote "custom" retainers often charge far more for similar work; ours are printed on the page, month to month.

Is SEO worth it for a restaurant?

It pays most where diners have choices: a city block with ten places, takeout and delivery, catering, events, visitors who search on their phones. In a small town with one diner and no competition, a complete Google Business Profile may be all you need. The free Maps audit tells you which case you are in before you spend anything.

How long until we see more guests from Google?

Business Profile fixes can show within weeks. Moving up for competitive searches like "sushi near me" in a dense neighborhood usually takes several months of steady work, and depends on how strong the places above you are. Anyone who promises the top spot by a date is guessing.

Can I do restaurant SEO myself?

Some of it, yes: keeping hours right, adding photos, answering reviews, turning a PDF menu into a page. Those take an hour or two a month. Link building, technical fixes and keyword work take longer and are what the packages cover. We are happy to tell you which parts to keep in-house.

Do you work with other restaurants near me?

We may. We don't sell exclusive territories, and two places on the same street can both be clients. What we never do is share one client's data, reports or plans with another. Each campaign is its own, with its own keywords and its own report.

What is in the monthly report?

Every link placed that month with its live URL, the page on your site it points to and the anchor text, plus where you rank for the searches we agreed on and what was changed on your Business Profile and listings. We describe it rather than show a sample, because each report belongs to the client it was written for.

Do you guarantee a top spot in Google Maps?

No. Google decides rankings, and it weighs distance from the searcher, which nobody can change. We commit to the work in your package, delivered on time and listed in your report. Results come from that work over months, and we tell you plainly how it is going.

Who does the work?

A team that has done SEO since 2009 for more than 15,000 clients, with 94% of them staying on. You deal with the same people by email from the first audit to the monthly report, and you can ask for a call at any point.
